I know she’s delectable and “has an impressive set of pipes” as noted by Gaston Means, but this thing between Chalky White and Daughter Maitland will probably cause him more grief than pleasure. Last night’s “Boardwalk Empire” episode provided more details about their relationship and how she became so tight with Dr. Valentin Narcisse. I will tell you, without giving away too much, that a situation occurred that would’ve justified her going O-Ren Ishii on Dr. Narcisse but instead became his devotee. And Dunn Purnsley – that one! Sometimes I have to wonder if he’s harboring anger from that can of whoop-ass Chalky’s boys opened on him while they were in jail.  Jimmy Darmody was killed off after two seasons (people are still ticked about that) so this  Chalky-Daughter Maitland-Dr.Narcisse-Purnsley situation could turn out a number of ways. On another note, the episode’s opening scene with Al Capone reminded me of “The Untouchables” movie. That’s Chicago! Watch the HBO hit here.

Here’s what else is happening …

I was pleasantly surprised when I woke up and saw “Queen of Salsa” Celia Cruz honored with a Google-Doodle today, on what would’ve been her 88th birthday. She’s a figure along with other artists of her era (Carmen McRae and Betty Carter immediately come to mind) who illuminated an aura that piqued my curiosity as child. Read more about this Afro-Cuban goddess here.  While we’re on the topic of music … At 8 p.m. EST today,  Revolt TV -  Sean “Diddy” Combs’ brainchild – goes live. The all-music channel will probably pick up where MTV, BET and VH1 left off by airing – you’ve guessed it – music. Find out more about it here. Do you plan on tuning in?  …If you haven’t been watching “I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding,” you can get a sample of star NeNe Leakes’ much-loved humor in her recent interview with “E! News’” Giuliana Rancic and Terrence Jenkins. Leakes showed off her 15-plus carat engagement ring (it and her wedding  band total 26 carats) and talked about her wedding, which she said “was the best day ever.” The craziest thing that happened on her big day? “The wedding night, we had a couple of wedding crashers,” she shared. “Some gay guys, they all came in started twerking.” Only in Atlanta and only at her wedding. Watch the interview here.  In other NeNe Leakes news .. A super trailer for Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Atlanta” season 6 has been released and I just want to lay my head down. It’s too much. Former Miss America  USA Kenya Moore twirling around and saying she’s “Gone with the Wind” fabulous in one clip and then telling someone “I’m crazing in a good way” in the next. Phaedra Parks questioning her husband Apollo Nida about fellatory activity with another woman plus Leakes snapping on Moore and Porsha Williams Stewart in separate scenes. And I’m not even sharing all of it. The cringe-worthy moment? A brawl or two (kind of hard to tell) featured at the end of the nearly 3-minute video. It’s a bit difficult to tell who’s involved but in one scene Kandi Burruss threatens someone, displaying a side we’ve not scene. Sigh.
