Former “Dancing With the Stars” pro Maks Chmerkovskiy has been “in talks” to be a guest-judge this season, Maks’ brother, Val Chmerkovskiy, disclosed late Monday.

Val told XfinityTV the news Monday night backstage at “DWTS” after this week’s show, which had former “DWTS” pro Julianne Hough as a guest-judge subbing for Len Goodman.

Val said Maks has been in talks to do the same. “I’ll expose something,” Val said. “The conversation of that happening was brewing during the summer and I don’t know what happened to it,” he revealed.

“All I know is when he told me that there’s an opportunity for that, just to tell you our mentality in our family, I [was] like, ‘Well, am I going to be fired?’ ”

Val explained that because he’s Maks’ brother, the other pros would object to him guest-judging because they would fear Maks would favor Val. “I know for sure half the cast would be at the office complaining about it, and so it will probably never happen because it would just be too many complaints.”

Instead, producers tapped blonde beauty Julianne, who left “DWTS” to make movies, even though she too has a sibling on “DWTS,” dance pro Derek Hough.

“It happened smoothly and it was more than OK — I think it was exciting,” Val said of Julianne’s guest-judge stint. “It added a certain enthusiasm to the show.”

And Val thinks Maks, well known for his bad-boy reputation but also compelling “DWTS” partnerships with such stars as Mel B and Kirstie Alley, would also bring a lot to the show.

“Obviously it would be biased for me to say. ‘Let’s get [my brother] on the show [to guest-judge],’ but I’m going to be realistic and say he’ll be incredible TV,” said Val, who is dancing with “Showgirls” star Elizabeth Berkley this season.

“Old friend week — it’ll be awesome. All drama aside, I think he was a huge asset to the show and I still hear all the time [that] his fans want to see him back.

“If they could work it out, if my brother would be invited back onto the premises, it would be awesome. He would be professional. He treats the dancing part of this business very seriously. The stress and the [BS] aside, he’s a professional when it comes to something that he cares [about].”
