Discovery Channel is once again digging in for a “Gold Rush.”
The network will bring back the popular series on Oct. 25, according to The Hollywood Reporter, with a special two-hour season premiere.
The series’ preshow, “The Dirt,” will also return that night with executive producer Christo Doyle back as host, starting at 8pm, before “Gold Rush” launches season four at 9pm.
According to the report, the new season will spotlight three gold-mining crews embedded across two continents. This year, Todd Hoffman take on “the jungles of South America that hold five times more gold than the Klondike. He plans to mine it, but only if he can convince his crew to join in on his most daring and dangerous adventure yet.”
Also featured will be Dakota Fred Hurt and the Dakota Boys as well as Parker Schnabel.
The last season of “Gold Rush” ranked as Discovery’s highest-rated series.
