“MasterChef” judge Graham Elliot is a new man.
As one of the trio of judges on the FOX reality series, Elliot has made a living off of food. However, the chef wanted a lifestyle change and underwent weight loss surgery almost two months ago. The results? He has now lost 91 lbs., according to People, and is now at 305 lbs.
“It’s going to be a huge party when I hit 299 lbs.,” he told the magazine.
According to the interview, he added an exercise routine and new attitude towards food to his weight loss mantra and has since dropped 10 pants sizes.
“That will be the first time in well over a decade that I’ve been under 300 [lbs.] I see people on the street who are the size I was only a few months ago, and it’s like, ‘Man, I wish you could feel what I am feeling right now, it’s absolutely life-changing.’ ”
He is now training for his first 5k run, set to take place sometime around Thanksgiving.
“At first, I ran a quarter mile, and every two blocks, I’d be winded and need to catch my breath,” he says. “But I kept going. It’s meditative and I’m proud at the end of a run.”
