‘NCIS’ Producer Addresses Cote de Pablo’s Departure in Open Letter to Fans

With Cote de Pablo on her way out of “NCIS,” executive producer Gary Glasberg offered words of comfort to shocked fans.

CBS.com posted a letter from Glasberg reassuring fans who were upset with de Pablo’s departure from the show. In the letter, Glasberg promised that her exit would be one to remember.

“Like I’ve said multiple times, we respect Cote’s decision immensely and wish her all the best,” his letter read. “The amazing resolution you’re going to see is pretty damn heart-wrenching and we’re incredibly proud of it. Prepare yourselves for a moment in television history. Images that will end up in the archives. I couldn’t be happier with how my NCIS family stepped up and did some of the most emotional work we’ve ever done.”

He went on to encourage fans of her character that there was a lot to look forward to this season, promising that the new year will “rock your world and leave you on the edge of your seat,” and that there will be some “surprises along the way.”

NCIS returns Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 8pm on CBS.
