Funnyman Bill Hader didn’t have the foggiest idea if he’d make it to Wednesday night’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” in L.A.
But he did make it — arriving at the show about two hours after landing at LAX following at least two days of delays in departing from the Vineyard due to a fog condition that grounded flights on consecutive mornings from the East Coast island playground of the rich and famous.
It was the site last Sunday of Seth Meyers’ wedding to long-time girlfriend Alexi Ashe, and Hader was a guest at the star-studded shindig along with other members of the “Saturday Night Live” cast, both past and present.
Among those who attended from “SNL”: Lorne Michaels, Amy Poehler, Fred Armisen, Taran Killam, Andy Samberg, Jason Sudeikis, Kristen Wiig, Will Forte and Kenan Thompson. And all of them were socked in by fog, Hader told Jimmy Kimmel on “JKL” on ABC.
“You almost didn’t make it here tonight,” Kimmel said.
“Yeah, I almost didn’t make it,” said Hader, who’s now an “SNL” alum, having left the show at the conclusion of last season. “I just got in, like, two hours ago. I was at Seth Meyers’ wedding in Martha’s Vineyard.”
He then explained the fog issue and the delays it caused. “Every morning at the Martha’s Vineyard airport it was like the entire cast of ‘SNL’ — we were all there and then we got fogged in.”
