Irish actor Jason O’Mara is joining “The Good Wife” for a guest-starring role that could lead to recurring or even regular status on the legal drama.
O’Mara will play an Irish attorney who has spent the better part of his career defending less-than-savory types such as gang members and crime families, reports Deadline.com here.
O’Mara was last seen on the CBS ’60s drama “Vegas” playing a deputy sheriff alongside Dennis Quaid and Michael Chiklis. With that show now cancelled, CBS apparently thinks highly enough of O’Mara that it offered him this new plum role.
On “The Good Wife,” he’ll be seen this fall trying to fit in with the show’s principal law firm — Lockhart/Gardner, Deadline said.
Fans of “The Good Wife” will likely be asking: Will this new hunk evolve into more than just a law partner for title character Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies)? The Deadline story had no answer to that.
“The Good Wife” is produced in New York, but it’s set in Chicago.
