Oprah Winfrey notched another talk-show appearance Thursday night, this time on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” — a booking that must represent some kind of a milestone for the exuberant talk show hosted by Andy Cohen.
Cohen turned his usual unabashed enthusiasm up to 11 for Oprah, as he demonstrated an incredibly deep knowledge of her history — including some obscure moments from her old afternoon talk show that he remembered but she had long forgotten.
For Oprah, the appearance was another opportunity for her to promote her new movie, “Lee Daniels’ The Butler,” for which she already appeared earlier in the week on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on ABC.
She and Cohen talked about the movie, of course — but also took viewer phone calls and social-media questions. Among other highlights, Cohen got Oprah to slap him like she slapped one of her co-stars in a dramatic scene from “The Butler,” and he persuaded her to yell out his name in the famous manner in which she used to introduce celebrity guests on her old talk show.
She even stuck around for an “after-show” interview that we also have for you to watch here.
