Bravo appears to be in the early stages of creating a new reality series with the Manzo family of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” the New York Post reported here.
The story has no title or target airdate for the new project, but it does report that the spinoff would revolve around the Manzo family business.
“RHONJ” star Caroline Manzo and her husband, Albert, own an event-catering space called The Brownstone in Paterson, N.J.
Their children — Albie, Lauren and Christopher — would also be involved in the show, The Post says.
With few details to go on, it’s difficult to determine just what this show would be like. For one thing, if it lacks any of the other New Jersey “Housewives,” then we wonder what, if anything, would be the catalyst for conflict.
It is interesting that this idea is being floated so soon after two other “RHONJ” characters — Teresa Guidice and her husband, Giuseppi (Joe) — were indicted on 39 fraud-related charges that could have them doing serious prison time if convicted of any or all of them.
Maybe Bravo is looking at a possible future without “RHONJ.”
