We may be very close to a new “Bachelor.”

The current frontrunner is rumored to be none other than recently booted “Bachelorette” contestant Juan Pablo Galavis, who’s allegedly being courted to star in Season 18 of “The Bachelor,” according to E! News. Galavis made a memorable impression on the most recent edition of “The Bachelorette,” but ultimately was cast out by Desiree Hartsock.

Producers are now close to locking Galavis back into the ABC dating franchise.

“He’s been told the gig is his if he wants it,” an insider told the site. “He’s definitely interested and will most likely accept, although nothing’s been signed yet.”

The 31-year-old Venezuelan’s popularity was evident during ABC’s “Women Tell All” taping special, and producers feel that his presence will add a new dimension to the show.

Even “Bachelorette” Des is pulling for him to take the spotlight.

“Girls in America will love Juan Pablo. They would love to see him as the Bachelor, because I get that on my Twitter feed all the time,” she told E!.
