It’s the Fox Animation Domination crossover event we’ve been waiting for.

Arch-rivals the Simpsons and the Griffins are about to cross paths!

Fox is planning a crossover episode with “The Simpsons” and “Family Guy” to air next year.

In an episode titled “The Simpsons Guy,” Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith and Hank Azaria will lend their voices for the stunt that will air as an installment of “Family Guy.”

The cartoon worlds will collide when Peter Griffin takes his family on a road trip and they end up in the Simpsons’ hometown of Springfield. There, they stumble across Homer and the two families end up hitting it off. Naturally, the mischievous Stewie and bratty Bart buddy up and compare shenanigans; Marge and Lois do some motherly bonding; Lisa and Meg try to discover Meg’s secret talent; and Peter and Homer debate over the better beer — Pawtucket or Duff?

The big episode will air in fall 2014.

Although “Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane guest voiced on “The Simpsons” for season finale, this is the first time the two Sunday-night Fox families have met on-screen.
