In a clash of worlds the will surely make sci-fi buffs happy all over the planet, “Sherlock” star Mark Gatiss is the latest actor to be cast in HBO’s saga “Game of Thrones,” according to E! News.
Here’s the kicker: We don’t know who, exactly, Gatiss will play. That means the role is probably pretty juicy.
Gatiss is well-known to sci-fi fans, having starred as Sherlock Holmes’ brother Mycroft on the BBC hit series, as well as writing “Doctor Who” novels and acting in three episodes of the famed TV series.
Chilean actor Pedro Pascal nabbed the plum role of Prince Oberyn Martell last month, and more announcements are expected soon.
