From “American Idol” to “Glee,” Adam Lambertis now completing his set of musical Fox series.

After a wave of cast cuts trimmed the ‘Glee’ cast by five, the former ‘Idol’ runner-up is now joining the show to beef up its roster.

Showrunner and co-creator Ryan Murphy broke the news on Twitter on Wednesday, writing, “I am thrilled to announce that the super talented Adam Lambert is joining the cast of Glee this fall.”

No other details were mentioned and it remains unclear whether the role is as a guest star, recurring or a regular cast member. However, Lambert wouldn’t be the first ‘Idol’ alumni to visit the show. Last season, Jessica Sanchez appeared on two episodes as Frida Romero from the glee club, The Hoosierdaddies.
