It happened in Idaho — which is probably why this celebrity wedding remained a secret for 10 days.
Apparently, “Scandal” star Kerry Washington married NFL star Nnamdi Asomugha June 24 in Hailey, Idaho (population: 7,960).
The private ceremony, reportedly conducted with a small group of family and close friends in attendance, was “discovered” by Eonline, which couldn’t wait to announce the nuptials late on Wednesday.
Born in Lafayette, La., Asomugha will be 32 on July 6. Bronx-born Washington is 36. She’s an actress best known for playing the lead role in ABC’s Washington-based prime-time soap “Scandal.”
Asomugha plays cornerback for the San Francisco 49ers. He has aspirations to become an actor and has had small roles in several shows already, including “The Game,” “Friday Night Lights” and “Leverage.”
This is the first marriage for both Asomugha and Washington.
