Ex-’Grey’s Anatomy’ Actress Melissa George Signs on for ‘The Good Wife’

The Good Wife” is gearing up for Season 5, and the first wave of casting news is on the docket.

Former “Grey’s Anatomy” actress Melissa George has signed on for a major recurring role on the upcoming season, TVLine reports.

George will play Marilyn, a member of recently elected Illinois Governor Peter Florrick’s (Chris Noth) in-house ethics counsel. Her character is described as “smart, sexy and savvy” and “a stickler for honesty and following the rules,” according to TVLine.

George’s most recent TV role was in last year’s Cinemax series “Hunted.” She played Dr. Sadie Harris on “Grey’s Anatomy” during the 2009 season. She’s also appeared as a spy girl on Jennifer Garner’s “Alias,” as a troubled patient on HBO’s “In Treatment,” and in 2001′s sexy-but-short-lived John Stamos ABC show “Thieves.”
