After dropping several original cast members yesterday, now comes word that “Glee” star Jayma Mays is heading to CBS where she will co-star with Will Arnett, Margo Martindale and Beau Bridges in CBS‘ new comedy series “The Millers.”

Deadline reports that Mays will take over the part for actress for Mary Elizabeth Ellis after producers decided to recast the role in the pilot. She will play Arnett’s sister Debbie, whose father (Bridges) moves in with her after leaving his wife of 43 years. Meanwhile her mother decides to live with Arnett.

Mays was shifted to recurring status on “Glee” last season, and is expected to still do a “handful” of episodes for the new season. Meanwhile, on Friday, word came that Heather Morris (Brittany), Mark Salling (Puck), Amber Riley (Mercedes) and Harry Shum Jr (Mike), all original cast members of the series, had been dropped as regulars on the show.
