Ray Romano on "Parenthood" (Chris Haston/NBC)

Good news for “Parenthood” fans. Ray Romano has signed on to return to the NBC series, where he has been playing Sarah’s (Lauren Graham) boss Hank Rizzoli, according to Deadline.

The report states that Romano will continue to have a strong presence on the series, appearing in as many as 12-15 episodes (he appeared in 14 episodes last season.)

In the finale of the fourth season of “Parenthood,” the fate of Hank was left in a cliffhanger of sorts. Sarah rejected her fiancée Mark Cyr (Jason Ritter) so she could be with Hank, only to learn that he was moving to Minnesota to be near his daughter.

“Parenthood” shifts gears this fall, moving to Thursday nights at 10p.
