Well, the peace and harmonious silence on “Community” didn’t last very long.

One week after “Community” creator Dan Harmon made his official return as showrunner for the fifth season of the NBC series, the producer had some not-so-nice words about the Harmon-less season four of the show as well as studio Sony Pictures Television.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Harmon said on his Harmontown podcast that the last season of the show tried too hard to sound like Harmon wrote the episode.

“It’s very much like an impression and an unflattering one,” he said. “It’s 13 episodes of ‘I’m Dan Harmon!’ I’m going back to work tomorrow morning and I’m just like, do I talk like that?”

He noted that attempts to copy his style were unsuccessful.

“It’s very much like an impression and an unflattering one,” he said.

As for the studio that removed him from the series following his falling out with Chevy Chase, Harmon was even more upset.

“Writers fighting other writers is the American Dream in the eyes of Sony,” he said. “That is what they want. They want creative people rewriting each other. They want creative people replacing each other. They want us interchangeable.”
