Kim Kardashian gave birth Saturday to the daughter she had been expecting with recording artist Kanye West, according to multiple reports on various news Web sites.
The news was later confirmed on Saturday by an official announcement from E! Entertainment Television, home of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” and the other Kardashian family reality shows.
The reports, including this story on TMZ.com, say Kim, 32, gave birth around midday Saturday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. She and West (and most of the rest of the world) knew in advance the baby was a girl. The baby girl, who is not yet named, is the first child for both her mother and her father.
The TMZ report and others, such as this story on the New York Post Web site, say Kanye, 36, was at her side when she gave birth.
According to the stories, the E! reality star went into labor Saturday morning and was rushed to the hospital. The labor apparently came on by surprise since the baby was not expected for about another month.
West reportedly left a “listening party” for his new CD “Yeezus” to join Kim at the hospital. The Post story said mother and child are in good health.
Even in the absence of an official confirmation earlier on Saturday, the word spread anyway. Among the details out late in the afternoon: The baby was delivered via Caesarian section, People magazine reported here, citing an unnamed source.
