"The Gayest Show Ever." (Here TV)

Here TV is celebrating its 10th anniversary of bringing LGBT-focused entertainment to television. The first gay network to hit the US airwaves back in2003, Here TV has paved the way with ground-breaking hits such as “Dante’s Cove” and “The Donald Strachey Mysteries,” as well as a multitude of other award-winning productions.

“Our incredibly loyal audience as well as each individual staff member at Here TV has a personal connection to the shows, movie and series we offer. Some prefer the more serious side of our offerings where we discuss issues and politics directly relevant to our lives LGBT Americans and some prefer the lighter, sexier, straight-forward entertainment pieces. Regardless, what’s important to us is that we offer a wide range of movies, and shows and specials, that accurately reflect who we are,” says Josh Rosenzweig SVP or Original Programming.

Recent years have seen the launch of acclaimed series such as “She’s Living for This,” starring international drag sensation Sherry Vine. We recently premiered season two of this hit series and there is quite a line up of guest stars and appearances. Everyone from Sharon Needles (from “Ru Paul’s Drag Race“) to Debbie Harry (yes, that Debbie Harry) drop in on Sherry.

And of course there is our political talk show hosted by Jim Morrison “For & Against,” our super-sexy dating, relationship advice show “Threesome,” and the Emmy award nominated feature documentary, “30 Years From Here.” In addition we have such incredible films such as “Varla Jean and the Mushroomheads,” “Judas Kiss” and the powerful documentary “Out in Mumbai.”

Here TV is the television division of Here Media, the parent company of OUT magazine, The Advocate, Shewired, and Gay.com.

One of Here TV’s initiative in honor of its 10th anniversary is the New Frontiers Film Project, which is a call for submissions from up and coming LGBT filmmakers. And, there is also a robust slate of new productions, new movies and network premieres all debuting in 2013. Here TV has re-dedicated itself to its core mission: to create and tell authentic meaningful stories about our lives.
