On Tuesday, “The Young & the Restless” aired a heartfelt memorial tribute to Jeanne Cooper, who passed away on May 8 at age 84. Cooper played “Y&R’s” grand dame Katherine Chancellor for 40 years. The show’s cast broke the fourth wall to share their memories of Cooper as themselves, not their characters. Many clips of her best scenes were shown. However, one had to be cut for time. Fortunately, you can watch it here on xfinityTV. In the deleted scene, Katherine bids farewell to a dying John Abbott (Jerry Douglas), reminiscing about their lifelong friendship. It’s doubly poignant, because Douglas is alive and well and appears in the tribute to Cooper.

If you need some cheering up after that, another soap has you covered. “One Life to Live” featured a guest appearance from Snoop Lion, who penned the show’s new theme song. This is the rapper’s third appearance on the show as himself. (The first two occurred when “OLTL” aired on ABC.) Snoop is back to rekindle his improbable friendship with Llanview’s police commissioner Bo (Robert S. Woods) and district attorney Nora (Hillary B. Smith), as well as to promote his new movie. Can you spot the product placement?
