Andy Dickrefuses to stop dancing!
In fact, the “Dancing with the Stars” season 16 breakout celebrity plans to perform on DWTS cruises and Las Vegas shows, he announced to reporters after the Tuesday night grand finale.
But at the same time Andy expects to hit the high seas to perform for DWTS fans, it sounds like there’s trouble in paradise for the funnyman and his girlfriend, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Jennifer Gimenez.
First, the good news. With his DWTS partner Sharna Burgess by his side, Andy told Xfinitytv, “I’m not putting my dancing shoes away and I’m taking her with me. We’re going to be doing some cruises, we’re doing Vegas. I just told her tonight. I went to the producers and said, ‘I want to do that Dancing with the Stars cruise thing I heard about.’ Joey Fatone told me they [also] do a Vegas show. We’re in! Sharna and I are in it [now].”
Sharna said she’s eager to continue their dance partnership on tour: “I’ve really enjoyed being part of Andy’s life for the last three and a half months and to just cut it off cold and have no contact would really upset and disappoint me.”
But at the same time, Andy’s future is cloudy with girlfriend Jennifer. “Actually, we might be on the outs,” Andy confided to reporters. “She’s been busy and I’ve had my eye on a couple of other people. I want to open up the relationship.”
After Sharna laughed that Andy is now, “A man in demand!,” the comedian added, “It was very great when I was doing the show and it was good for [Jennifer], too, because basically all I did was dance and see her a little bit. Now, I’m a free man and I’m going to play the field. I am! I’m allowed to.
“By the way, she doesn’t know any of this. It’s just my thoughts. If this gets back to her, she’s going to kill me,” he said, deadpan.
But with reporters wondering if he was kidding or serious, Andy said, “Don’t Tweet about this! I do love her and I’m still with her. She’s tough. I’m scared.” He then claimed the RHOBH star is “going to go to Vegas with me and on the cruise.”
While his love life is in question, however, one thing is clear. Dancing is now in Andy’s blood! On Tuesday night, he and Sharna did a well-received reprise of their Mad Hatter dance from earlier this season as an exhibition number. Andy exulted, “It was better than last time.”
He also boasted, “I dance when I walk down the street! I am not kidding!”
When Andy recently went to the Top Shop store at The Grove shopping center in Los Angeles, for example, he said, “There was music being piped in and it was Harry Connick, Jr., one of the songs somebody danced to here on the show and I’m swinging my bags like I’m Gene f—ing Kelly and I feel like everyone’s going to start dancing with me, but really, nobody did.
“But I dance now! I dance in life. I love it!”
