CBS Renews ‘Criminal Minds,’ Locks in Actors for 9th Season

Fans of CBS series “Criminal Minds” will be able to rest easy heading into the fall season as the network has renewed the series for a ninth season.

In addition, Deadline reports that series leads Thomas Gibson and Joe Mantegna as well as co-stars Shemar Moore, Kirsten Vangsness and A.J. Cook have all signed new deals to stay with the show.

According to the report, Vangsness and Cook were seeking equal salary to their male counterparts Moore and Matthew Gubler in tense salary negotiations and ended up with sizable raises to come back to the show.
