According to Cher, “Brave is going on national television with your mother.”
So is revealing your own mugshot from when you were 13 years old and got arrested for stealing a car. That’s what else Cher did on Tuesday’s “The Tonight Show,” while appearing with her mother Georgia Holt to promote their upcoming Lifetime documentary.

Cher, 66, produced the documentary about her fascinating mother — who’s been married six times, gave up her singing career to raise her family and once lost a part to Marilyn Monroe (“I never heard of her,” she told Jay Leno) — which started as a project Cher was putting together in honor of her mom’s 86th birthday.
“Dear Mom, Love Cher” airs May 6 at 10/9c on Lifetime.
