Gary Busey brought his hard-to-define wit and wisdom to “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” Monday night and stole the show, just one day after Donald Trump fired him on NBC’s “All Star Celebrity Apprentice” Sunday night.

Hard to define? Well, it may be hard to pin down for the rest of us, but Busey himself understands fully what he’s about when he spouts examples of the unique, personal philosophy he calls “Buseyism.”

Besides defining the actor’s iconoclastic take on the world around him, the term has another meaning too: Taken as a singular noun, a “Busey-ism” is a unique form of word construction.

But you don’t have to take our word for it. Busey himself defined the term to Fallon by presenting the “Late Night” host with a series of examples. “A Buseyism is when I take the letters that spell the word and create a definition for the word,” Busey said on Monday night’s “Late Night.”

He then displayed placards with some examples, starting with FART — which Busey had broken down to “feeling a rectal transmission.”

The three examples that followed were more spiritual, and also in better taste: FAITH (fantastic adventures in trusting Him), FUN (finally understanding nothing) and TRUTH (taking real understanding to heart).

Watch Gary Busey explain his philosophy on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon”:

Shedding light on another portion of his world view, Busey then explained why he creates nicknames for people he likes. “You know, when you choose a name for somebody that relevates [yes, he said "relevates"] their truth and exposes the core of their own magic within themselves that they own, you have a friend and an ally for life.”

On the subject of his firing Sunday night on “All Star Celebrity Apprentice,” Busey expressed himself in song — performing a musical adaptation of some of his more memorable sayings and statements from the show. This song’s title: “I’m the Hood Ornament on My Car of Creation.”
