LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) – Nastaran Dibai has bid adieu to “Malibu Country.”

Dibai, the showrunner for freshman ABC comedy “Malibu Country.” won’t be returning to the series if it’s picked up for another season.

ABC did not have a comment on Dibai’s departure, or on a possible replacement.

Prior to coming aboard “Malibu Country” — which stars Reba McEntire as a mother who moves from Nashville Malibu, Calif., after her country-music star husband cheats on her — Dibai had producing stints at “Retired at 35,” “Happily Divorced,” “Rita Rocks” and “According to Jim,” among others.

The first season of “Malibu Country” ended in March.

This makes the second ABC series in as many days; on Monday, Mike Kelley departed the network’s drama “Revenge.”
