UPDATE: Sorry, ladies. The Masters champion Adam Scott won’t be joining the “Bachelor Nation,” despite an online campaign clamoring for the Aussie hunk to be the next “Bachelor.” The pro golfer does have a girlfriend after all and won’t be needing reality TV’s help at finding love (not that he ever would have considered it in the first place).
“I am not single at all; I’m very much in a relationship and very happy at the moment,” Adam Scott, 32, told “CBS This Morning” on Wednesday, revealing he’s dating a woman named Marie.
Adam Scott is the man of the hour.
Scott, 32, became the first Australian golfer to ever wear the green jacket by winning The Masters on Sunday in Augusta, Ga., after an awesome sudden death playoff against Argentina’s Angel Cabrera.
The hunky Australian golf pro is also single, known for being a nice guy and his woo-ability factor is off the charts, so you know what that means … “The Bachelor” wants him!
After Scott’s electrifying win on Sunday, “Bachelor” producer Robert Mills started the “Adam Scott for Bachelor” campaign on Twitter, and it took off like lightning.
“So……Adam Scott as the next #Bachelor?? What say you, #Bachelornation?” Mills wrote, as E! Online first pointed out.
“Bachelor” host Chris Harrison was all for the idea, writing, “Yep it’s now officially the most dramatic #Masters ever!” and adding, “Rumors this will be settled in a hot tub instead of replaying 18th #Masters”
“The Adam Scott as #Bachelor idea has exploded,” the producer later Tweeted. “Will try and meet.”
A “Bachelor” source told E! News that the ABC reality dating show is, in fact, seriously interested in the pro golfer as a potential rose giver and producers are hoping to set up a meeting with Scott.
“We are definitely going to pursue [Scott]. So far, no meeting’s been set but we’re trying. He could be a perfect fit…We’re also considering other people Bachelor fans already know.”
ABC never comments on casting rumors, and so far, Scott has not issued a comment on being the most wanted “Bachelor” of the moment, but then again, he’s busy right now being The Masters winner. Stay tuned…
