NBC unveiled its summer slate Monday, revealing the premiere dates for a slew of new and returning shows. The network’s summer 2013 schedule includes the new Anne Heche series “Save Me,” the return of wild man Bear Grylls in a new adventure competition series and, as previously announced, the sexy new judges — supermodel Heidi Klum and Spice Girl Melanie Brown — added to “America’s Got Talent.”

“Get Out Alive With Bear Grylls”
When: Monday, July 8 at 9/8c
What It’s About: “A larger-than-life adventure reality competition series. Grylls, a world-renowned survivalist, leads a non-stop extreme-survival journey that tests 10 teams of two beyond their wildest imaginations as they venture into the unforgiving and dramatic landscape of New Zealand’s South Island.”
When: Wednesday, July 10, 10/9c
What It’s About: “Rachel Griffiths (“Six Feet Under”) stars as a divorced camp director looking for a fresh start in a series that also explores the campers and counselors at Little Otter Family Camp, where summer memories are made.”
When: Thursday, May 23, with back-to-back episodes at 8/7c & 8:30/7:30c
What It’s About: “Anne Heche stars in this comedy as a Midwestern mom and wife who undergoes a spiritual awakening after suffering a near-death experience.”

When:last summer’s #1 series on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and total viewers – premieres its eighth season on Tuesday, June 4 (9-11 p.m. ET).
