Fresh off starring in NBC’s “30 Rock,” Alec Baldwin may now be taking on a new role for the network.

The New York Times reports that the network is in talks with Baldwin to host a potential late night series for the channel. Although talks were still in the early stages, the article states that Baldwin could take over the Carson Daly “Last Call” time slot in what could be a complete overhaul of NBC’s late night lineup.

Of course, the network has already confirmed that “Late Night” host Jimmy Fallon would take over Jay Leno’s “The Tonight Show” next year. Meanwhile, “Saturday Night Live” veteran Seth Meyers is reportedly being eyed to take over Fallon’s current show. If Daly is indeed out, that would make three new hosts for three long-running series.

Baldwin is no stranger to late night television, having hosted a record 16 stints on “Saturday Night Live.”
