The notorious grueling schedule of “Dancing with the Stars” is taking a toll on Lisa Vanderpump.
After a full schedule last week of jetting from L.A. to New York on a red eye after Tuesday’s results show to appear at the Bravo upfronts, along with an appearance on “Live! with Kelly and Michael,” along with six-hour spans of “Dancing” rehearsals in between, the fiftysomething Vanderpump just collapsed.
“By the time Thursday rehearsals rolled around – let’s just say I was exhausted and everything felt off,” Lisa said. “Gleb and I were rehearsing our cha cha and suddenly I just blacked out.”
“I was in shock when I woke up. I fainted only once before in my life,” Lisa wrote. “The doctor found that I had a viral infection with fever and swollen glands. And between trying to fight that and all of the stress on my body from running around, I ended up with low blood pressure and a rapid heart rate, which is why I fainted.”
The Bravo reality star, who won a surprising save last week from fans, is still “feeling under the weather” but will get her cha cha cha on tonight.
“The cha cha is a very difficult dance but this is a style of dance, which Gleb excels and I want to make him proud,” she added.
“Dancing with the Stars” airs Monday at 8/7c on ABC.
