La Toya Jackson’s comments on “All-Star Celebrity Apprentice” could soon cost her more than being fired.
Jackson butted heads with fellow contestant Omarosa earlier on the Donald Trump reality series this season, before Jackson was eliminated from the show. Afterward, Jackson told cameras that Omarosa “probably pulled the plug” on her late fiance Michael Clarke Duncan, who had been hospitalized because of a heart attack before passing away.
Never one to back down from a fight, Omarosa told “The Howard Stern Show” that “I’m going to [sue her],” over the harsh comments, noting that she would claim emotional distress in the lawsuit.
Although Stern didn’t think the lawsuit would hold much ground, Omarosa disagreed, stating, “It’s called a reckless disregard for the truth. So she said it back in October when she first taped the show. She’s repeated it subsequently on all of these talk shows.”
She also noted that Jackson’s attorney sent her a letter that blamed the comments on the show’s producers.
“We gave her the time to retract it, and now we’ll both be spending money on lawyers,” Omarosa added.
