Keith Olbermann finally found some peace in his battle against former employer Current TV.
Olbermann, who once was the main face of the channel, reached a settlement in his $50 million legal battle against the network, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The settlement came during a private mediation session on Tuesday, according to the report, that was designed to stem the legal battles between Olbermann and the channel, who were both suing each other over his dismissal.
The two sides gave a statement to the publication, stating that “The parties are pleased to announce that a settlement has occurred, and that the terms are confidential. Nothing more will be disclosed regarding the settlement.”
Olbermann claimed that he was improperly terminated without cause from his show just a year into his five-year, $50 million contract with the network. Meanwhile, Current TV lawyers stated that the allegations “false and malicious,” claiming that Olbermann breached his contract with behavior that included not showing up to work on several occasions as well as going public with his salary.
The channel was recently sold to Al Jazeera.
