Now this is what we call necessary viewing.

John Stamos has been cast in a major recurring role on the upcoming third season of the USA Network’s “Necessary Roughness,” according to Deadline.

Stamos will appear in 10 episodes of the series for a season-long story arc that will find him playing against type as a not very likable character.

He’ll play Connor McClane, the founder of a global sports and entertainment management company who’s impressed with psychotherapist Dr. Dani Santino’s (Callie Thorne) work with Terrence “TK” King (Mehcad Brooks) and the New York Hawks, and he is willing to do “whatever it takes” to get her under his wing, according to Deadline.
