Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett is headed to HBO to develop “Cancer Vixen: A True Story” into a feature film for the cable channel.

Blanchett will star in the project, as well as executive produce, along with Trudie Styler (Sting’s wife) and Celine Rattray, according to Deadline. They are still in the process of courting a writer.

Based on the best-selling memoir, “Cancer Vixen” is the story of cartoonist Marisa Acocella Marchetto (“New Yorker,” “Glamour”), who chronicled her 11-month battle with breast cancer after her life was rocked by the diagnosis, forcing her to re-examine her high-powered Manhattan lifestyle and her engagement.
