At least one celebrity housewife wants no part of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” … allegedly.
The producers of the Bravo hit have reportedly been actively pursuing Rod Stewart’s wife Penny Lancaster to join the cast next season.
With Adrienne Maloof and Camille Grammer confirmed as exiting the show, and Taylor Armstrong also rumored to be on the chopping block, “RHOBH” needs some rich, fresh faces to bring on board.
But Rod Stewart says his wife has backed out of talks with Bravo.
“She doesn’t want to do that sort of thing,” the rocker said to TMZ Thursday at LAX airport. “She’s just happy being a mom.”
Another insider also says Penny is passing on any thoughts of being one of the “Real Housewives.”
“Penny is flattered to be asked, but she sees what the show has done to past Housewives’ marriages, friendships and family ties — so, even though Rod would be fully supportive of her if she did join, she has no intention of heading down that same route.”
That’s probably for the best, considering the incestuous circile this crowd runs in — Stewart’s son Sean Stewart is dating Maloof, who’s like two decades older than he is.
Former “Extra” host Dayna Devon is still reportedly in the running to join the show for Season 4, according to TMZ.
“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” airs Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo.
