At least Simon Cowell is happy with someone on “The X Factor.”

It seems like a safe bet that Demi Lovato will be returning as a judge for Season 3. Although nothing is official, Cowell told his pal Ryan Seacrest Wednesday how he felt about the singer-turned-reality-judge.

“We’d be crazy not to have her back,” Cowell said. “I liked having Demi on the show … she’s fun to work with.”

Lovato joined the show’s second season along with one-season wonder Britney Spears, who already announced she won’t be back next season, along with departing judge L.A. Reid.

There’s no word on whether or not Season 2′s new co-hosts Mario Lopez or Khloe Kardashian will return, but it’s been heavily speculated that Kardashian, who often appeared uncomfortable on live TV, will not be asked back.

It’s already time for the first round of auditions to begin in Los Angeles, so the two new replacements at the judges’ table will need to be in place soon.

“We’re talking to people all the time and hopefully within a couple of weeks we might announce the first two,” Cowell told Seacrest.

When Seacrest asked his former “Idol” foe if he’d be willing to let him guest co-host an episode of “The X Factor,” Cowell said he’d be all for it.

Season 3 of “The X Factor” will premiere this fall on FOX.
