Here’s another blow for “Downton Abbey” fans.

Siobhan Finneran will not be returning for Season 4 of the smash hit British series, the actress revealed to The U.K.’s Associated Press.

Yes, dear “Abbey” fans, O’Brien is packing her bags. The devious maid viewers love to hate will be gone when the upcoming season returns, picking up six months after the tragic third-season finale.

“I’m not doing any more,” Finneran says. “O’Brien is a thoroughly despicable human being — that was great to play.”

A spokesperson for “Downton” confirmed Finneran’s exit, and also added that the door is open should the actress choose to return.

Finneran’s unexpected departure comes on the heels of losing two other major “Downton” characters, with the deaths of Sybil (Jessica Brown Finlay) and Matthew Crawley (Dan Stevens).

Season 4 of “Downton Abbey” will hit the U.S. in January 2014 on PBS.
