Happy Endings” is getting bounced out of its Tuesday time slot and relegated to Friday nights.

That can’t happy news for the sitcom. Especially since it’s being swapped on Tuesdays for “Celebrity Wife Swap,” per ABC’s midseason scheduling changes announced Wednesday.

Beginning Friday March 29, “Happy Endings” will air back-to-back episodes starting at 8/7c. Fear not “TGIF” lovers, Reba McEntire’s “Malibu Country” and Tim Allen’s “Last Man Standing” will have wrapped their season finales by then.

The disheartening decision comes after a bumpy season in which the sitcom was already a victim of a scheduling shuffle, just as “Happy” critics and fans have been rallying around it for getting better creatively this season.

Its former Tuesday night comedy partner “Don’t Trust the B**** in Apt. 23″ was cancelled in January, and after this move, it’s hard not to think a similar unhappy ending is in store for the thirtysomething ensemble that stars Casey Wilson, Zachary Knighton, Eliza Coupe, Adam Pally, Damon Wayans Jr. and Elisha Cuthbert.

Let’s hope ABC is aware of what a hot property they have … don’t they know Elisha Cuthbert was just named TV’s sexiest star by Maxim!
