Fresh off his fantastic five-year run as an endearingly mad scientist, “Fringe” fave John Noble is moving on to his next gig in the TV universe.

The veteran actor is joining CBS’s weekly guest-star-a-thon, otherwise known as “The Good Wife,” where he’ll play one of Alicia’s former clients in, appropriately, an episode that jumps back in time.

“He comes on as a man that I have flashbacks [about], because he’s a client that I used to take care of all the time,” star Julianna Margulies told TV Guide Canada Thursday. “He’s a very interesting character who is sort of a brilliant techie guy that constantly sues people.”

A “brilliant” guy who appears in “flashbacks”? … Why, yes, Walter Bishop John Noble is just the man for the job!

“On the page, I thought, ‘Is this going to make sense?’ and he filled it with such incredible talent,” Margulies added. “I can’t even tell you. I looked at him and I went, ‘I didn’t even know that was the character. I’m so blown away.’”
