Blake Shelton to Give Acting a Try on ‘Malibu Country’

After taking Hollywood by storm, country singer Blake Shelton is making his way to “Malibu Country.”
“The Voice” coach is set to guest star on his good pal Reba McEntire’s TV show, according to The Huffington Post.
In his acting debut, Shelton will play Reba’s brother on an upcoming episode of the ABC sitcom.
“Malibu Country,” which costars Lily Tomlin and Sara Rue, centers around country singer Reba MacKenzie, who moves her family from Nashville to Malibu to start a new life after ditching her cheating husband.
The episode is scheduled to air Friday, March 1. The fourth season of “The Voice” premieres Monday, March 25, on NBC.

It’s no surprise that Reba roped Shelton onto her show. She has appeared as an adviser for Team Blake on “The Voice,” while the longtime friends have also co-hosted ACM Awards together.
“Malibu Country” airs Fridays at 8:30/7:30c on ABC.
