You go, “Girls.”
HBO has officially renewed “Girls” for a third season of 12 episodes, the network announced Friday.
The acclaimed series, which centers around the “humiliations and rare triumphs” of four twentysomething girls living in New York City, recently debuted its sophomore season. The Season 2 premiere episode drew a gross total of 3.8 million viewers, according to HBO.
Earlier this month, “Girls” won two Golden Globe Awards, one for Best Television Series, Comedy or Musical, and one for creator/star Lena Dunham for Best Actress in a Television Series Comedy.
The third season begins shooting in March, Dunham says.
