Happy news for one of “The Biggest Loser’s” favorite couples.

Sam Poueu and Stephanie Anderson are expecting a baby, they reveal to Us Weekly. Their first child is due in July.

The couple, who met on Season 9 of NBC’s weight loss show, got engaged at “The Biggest Loser” ranch in Oct. 2010 and have been married for nine months.

It’s an amazing turn of events for the pair, who went through a frightening ordeal in September 2011 when Sam fell 54 feet from a fire escape, suffering a punctured lung, a severed kidney, a shattered pelvis, a broken leg, and a traumatic brain injury.

Anderson, 32, helped nurse her love back to health and the road to recovery strengthened their bond.

Poueu, 27, is counting his blessings.

“Given everything we both have been through this past year, this [pregnancy] eclipsed everything. It put everything back into perspective. I felt like this was one of the many reasons God kept me alive during the five-story fall, so I could be the father of my wife’s baby.”

“Just from the experience of her being my caretaker post-accident, it was a dead giveaway that she’d be a fantastic mother,” Poueu told Us Weekly. “That was an early sign for me that our child is going to have the best mother ever.”

Stephanie reciprocates the enthusiasm for the daddy-to-be, adding that Sam’s been taking great care of her during her pregnancy, “Sam has been wonderful. He rubs my feet!”
