CBS would like to renew “Two and a Half Men” for an eleventh season that includes Angus T. Jones, network Entertainment President Nina Tassler told reporters at TCA in Pasadena, California on Saturday.
“We’d like him to be a part of it next year,” Tassler revealed. “I think he’d like to come back, too.”
In November, Jones released an incendiary video denouncing the show for being “filth” and urged fans not to watch. He later apologized.
Tassler noted that CBS, production company Warner Bros. Television, and series executive producer Chuck Lorre — who was reportedly furious with the young actor at the time — are all eager to see Jones return to the role of Jake Harper.
“He made his public apology and we’ve moved on,” Tassler admitted.
Tassler wouldn’t reveal when she expects to have a formal renewal that would include leads Jones, Ashton Kutcher, whose contract is still not yet signed, and Jon Cryer, but she was hopeful it will come soon.
New episodes of “Two and a Half Men” air on Mondays on CBS.
