“Bones” will be back for Season 9, Fox announced Tuesday. That’s good news for fans who may have heard that leading man David Boreanaz was ready to move on, but the show will go on … for at least one more season.
“After more than 150 episodes, ‘Bones’ continues to be one of television’s most dynamic and consistent dramas,” said Kevin Reilly, Fox Chairman of Entertainment, in a statement. “We at FOX, along with millions of zealous fans, look forward to seeing where the incredible creative team takes the series next season.”
The popular procedural returns with new episodes next Monday, featuring a special two-hour episode that digs into “Dancing with the Stars” territory.
According to the press release, the episode takes the team into the world of professional dancing as they investigate the death of a professional ballroom dancer who was murdered three days before her tryout for a popular dancing competition show. To try and solve the case, Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) go undercover as dance partners.
You know you want to see Booth in sequins, spandex and a spray tan.
The two-hour Winter Premiere of “Bones” airs Monday, Jan. 14 at 8/7c on FOX.
