Rosie O’Donnell has Howard Stern’s vote to join him on the judges’ panel of “America’s Got Talent,” but apparently NBC isn’t that into it.

Reports surfaced earlier this week that Stern was pitching the comedienne as a potential replacement for departing judge Sharon Osbourne, reportedly saying he’d “love” to have her on the show. “He thinks she is a great talent and will bring a new energy to that show,” a source told The Huffington Post.

But the network says they are not pursuing O’Donnell for the gig and have no plans to do so, according to Deadline.

“NBC is not in talks with Rosie O’Donnell for America’s Got Talent and has no future plans for her to be a judge,” said a spokesperson for the network.

They did confirm that Rosie will be making a guest appearance on another NBC show in 2013. “She will be playing herself on an upcoming episode of Smash when Bombshell opens on Broadway,” the NBC rep said.

“Smash” returns with a two-hour Season 2 premiere on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 9/8c on NBC.
