Jimmy Kimmel will be starting the New Year off with a bang. After 10 years in the midnight hour, “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” is moving up to the big leagues when the show begins airing at 11:35/10:35c (and directly competes with Letterman and Leno).
To help usher in the new time slot, beginning January 8, 2013, Kimmel has lined up a stellar list of guests to kick-off his promotion: Jennifer Aniston, Ryan Gosling, Sofia Vergara, Ellen DeGeneres, Rob Lowe, Jamie Foxx, Mark Wahlberg, Amy Brenneman, Nicki Minaj, Mindy Kaling, Julie Bowen, Naomi Watts, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, plus musical performances by No Doubt, Brad Paisley, Bruno Mars, LeAnn Rimes … and more.
The late-night host will also “celebrate” his final broadcast “Jimmy Kimmel Live” at 12am on January 7 with a special episode titled “Jimmy Kimmel Live! Goodbye to Midnight,” in which Kimmel will look back some of the most memorable and popular moments from the show’s ten-year history (January 26, 2013 marks the 10th anniversary of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”).
