For only the second time in “The Bachelorette’s” history, a couple matched on the ABC show has gotten married.
Ashley Hebert, 28, and J.P. Rosenbaum, 35, who became engaged in Fiji on “The Bachelorette” in August 2010, actually tied the knot December 1 in Pasadena, Calif., but the lavish event airs Sunday night on ABC in the two-hour special, “The Bachelorette: Ashley and J.P.’s Wedding.”
And yes, “Bachelor” host Chris Harrison will still be the master of ceremonies, literally, he officiates the wedding. Ashley and J.P. also wrote their own vows, which usually leads to some cheesy-good lines to look forward to. J.P. confirms Ashley was not a bridezilla during the wedding planning phase (thanks to their A-list wedding planner), but she was something of an unconventional bride. Ashley didn’t bother with having “something borrowed, something blue,” nor did she toss her bouquet because it was “too pretty” to throw away.
The happy “Bachelor” couple brings their TV love story full circle, filming the festivities and all wedding prep leading up to the big day — including practicing their kiss for the televised ceremony.

A host of “Bachelor” alums are among the invited wedding guests, including Trista and Ryan Sutter, the first “Bachelorette” couple to wed, Jason and Molly Mesnick, who are expecting a baby, Ali Fedotowsky, Jillian Harris, Deanna Pappas, Roberto Martinez and new “Bachelor” Sean Lowe.
There is one wedding moment that viewers won’t see on TV. Ashely revealed on a conference call with reporters, “There is a moment where Chris Harrison and one of the producers tied their ties together and created a limbo for everybody. You definitely won’t see that. But that was a really fun part of the night.”
“The Bachelorette: Ashley and J.P.’s Wedding” airs Sunday, December 16 from 9-11 p.m./ET on ABC.
