TV Land has retired one of its first original scripted series.
“Retired at 35” has been cancelled after two seasons, according to Deadline. The decision not to renew the series was confirmed Thursday, after the network announced the renewals of “The Exes” and “The Soul Man.”
It’s the first TV Land original scripted series to be cancelled. The series was originally ordered along with the network’s hit Betty White-Valerie Bertinelli series, “Hot in Cleveland.”
“Retired at 35″ debuted in January 2011 with 10 episodes, followed by a second season of another 10 premiering in June and concluding in August.
The comedy, starring George Segal, Jessica Walter (“Arrested Development”), Jonathan McClain and Marissa Jaret Winokur, followed a successful New Yorker who ditches the concrete jungle and moves to his parents retirement home in Florida.
