Anne Hathaway did not want the press ruining her special day with future husband Adam Shulman. So when the two were married this past September 29th in Big Sur, California, she’d set up a balloon display big enough to generate a “no fly zone” above the area of their nuptials. Of course the paparazzi being the paparazzi, they figured out how to helicopter their way around the balloon blockade.
Her husband, he being of sounder mind, cautioned against it. “You really don’t want to do that,’” Hathaway said. “I said, ‘You know what? It feels good in the moment, but you’re right, in the future I would regret it.’”
Letterman then told Hathaway about a tremendous gag Johnny Carson pulled with the paparazzi many moons ago when Sean Penn and Madonna were getting married on the beach in Malibu. Take a look above.
