Jack Bauer is back!
DirecTV is turning to FOX’s one-time staple series “24” as a way to promote the upcoming drama “Rogue” that will air on Audience Network. The channel will air all eight seasons of the Kiefer Sutherland series starting Monday, Jan. 7 at 8 p.m., according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The series is set to run commercial free Monday through Thursdays on the channel in order to help promote “Rogue,” which will debut in the summer of 2013.
“24 perfectly complements our current stable of critically acclaimed, award-winning dramas, such as Damages, and our upcoming series, Rogue,” Patty Ishimoto, Vice President of Entertainment at DirecTV and GM of the Audience Network said to the publication. “24 is a unique series presented in an unparalleled format that had viewers constantly on the edge of their seats. We are excited to provide our viewers with the opportunity to rediscover it as it was meant to be seen, unedited, commercial free and in HD.”
“Rogue” stars Thandie Newton, who plays an “emotionally conflicted undercover detective” who is haunted by the thought that she caused her son’s death.
